# BlueCallom COMPETE

### What is COMPETE?

COMPETE takes your company and one specific competitor, researches both in depth, and tells you exactly how to beat them — with department-specific action plans for Operations, Marketing, Sales, R\&D, and Finance. Your Executive reviews and approves before plans are distributed. COMPETE can run once or on a recurring schedule — daily, weekly, or monthly — so your strategy stays current as the market moves.

### Before You Start

You need three things:

1. **Your company information** — describe your company, what you sell, your market position, and key differentiators.
2. **Your competitor information** — name your main competitors, their websites, and what they offer.
3. **Email addresses** for the department managers who should receive their action plans (can be yourself for all of them or anyone on the BlueCallom platform).

### Step by Step

#### Step 1 — Find COMPETE in the BlueCallom Exchange Library

Log in to BlueCallom.ai and in the BlueCallom Exchange Library, find **BlueCallom-COMPETE-2.0-P** and click on it.

#### Step 2 — Read the Documentation & Create a Flight

A dialog opens. Click **"Read before you start — Open Documentation"** to review what COMPETE does and what you need to prepare. When ready, click **"Create Flight"** to start setting up your competitive intelligence project.

#### Step 3 — Name Your Flight and Set Variables

You will see the **Flight Creator** screen. Fill in:

* **Flight Name** — give your project a short, recognizable name (e.g., "Q2 Competitive Analysis")
* **Flight Description** — a brief summary of what this project covers
* **company\_data** — describe your company. Include: company name, industry, products/services, target market, key strengths, and current strategic focus. The more context you provide, the more relevant the competitive analysis will be.
* **competitor\_data** — describe your competitors. Include: competitor name, website, and key products/services. You can list multiple competitors.
* **report\_language** — the language for all reports (e.g., "English", "German")

When done, click **"Create Flight"** at the bottom.

#### Step 4 — The Flight Launchpad

After creating the flight, you land on the **Flight Launchpad**. This is your mission control. Before launching, you need to configure a few things using the buttons at the top.

#### Step 5 — Set Timer

Click **"Autonomous Prompts"** to configure a recurring schedule. COMPETE can run automatically at regular intervals so your competitive intelligence stays current:

* **Daily** — for fast-moving markets
* **Weekly** — for most businesses
* **Monthly** — for stable industries

Each run creates a fresh, independent analysis.

#### Step 5 — Add Your Team

Click **"Add Crew"** to invite team members. Search for people by name or email and assign them a role:

* **Project Owner** — that's you, the person launching and managing the flight.
* **Executive** — the Executive who reviews and approves the action plans before they are distributed.

Click **"Save"** when done.

#### Step 7 — Set Report Recipients

Click **"Report"** to configure who receives each PDF report. Each department manager receives their own tailored findings and action plan:

| Report | Suggested Recipient |
| ------------------------ | ------------------- |
| Executive Actions Report | Executive / CEO |
| Operations Report | Operations Manager |
| Marketing Report | Marketing Manager |
| Sales Report | Sales Manager |
| R\&D Report | R\&D Manager |
| Finance Report | Finance Manager |

You can assign yourself to all reports or distribute them to the relevant department heads. Click **"Submit"** when done.

### What Happens After Launch

Once you launch, everything runs automatically until the Executive's input is needed:

**Stage 1 — Research** *(automatic)* The AI conducts deep research across five dimensions: market landscape, customer analysis, technology and trends, competitor and self-analysis, and the broad competitive landscape. This produces a comprehensive picture of your competitive environment.

**Stage 2 — Assessment** *(automatic)* The AI analyzes all research findings and generates cross-department strategic actions — specific recommendations for Operations, Marketing, Sales, R\&D, and Finance.

**Stage 3 — Executive Review** *(Executive)* The Executive receives an email with a link to the Executive Actions Report (PDF). They review the strategic recommendations and submit their decision:

* **Approve** → department-specific reports are generated and distributed
* **Decline** → the flight stops

**Stage 4 — Department Distribution** *(automatic, only if approved)* Each department manager receives their own tailored report containing only the findings and actions relevant to their function. All reports are delivered as PDFs.

### Tips for Best Results

**Be thorough with company\_data.** The AI compares competitors against your company. The better it understands your strengths, products, and market position, the more relevant the competitive actions will be.

**Use recurring runs.** Competitive intelligence is most valuable when it's continuous. Set a weekly or monthly timer so your team always has fresh insights without anyone having to remember to launch it.

**Distribute to the right people.** Each department report is tailored to that function. The Operations Manager gets operations-specific actions, not the full executive summary. Make sure the right person gets the right report.
